Dear Chamberites ........

The Cranleigh & District Lions Club are once again holding a filmed Race Night at the Cranleigh Village Sports & Social Club (formerly The Legion) on Friday the 26th March.

We shall have 10 races, all of which are sponsored already, a raffle & a "Roll-a-Dice" competition. You may have already sponsored a race or bought ownership of a horse in advance, in which case - many thanks.  NOW the evening promises to be a fun-filled night out - will you come & perhaps bring a party ?

We propose to put "enigmatic posters" around the village in advance as well as on display in the Legion and in the Race Card, as we are not allowed to actually advertise the selling of tickets "to the public" because it is held in a private members Club.

Admission only will be £5.00 each, admission including food is £11.50 each.

Doors open for food from 6.30pm & the chef wants to take all orders by 7.30pm.

The 1st race will be 8.pm.

Some of our profits will be going to help The Blossom Nursery who are providing some manpower to run our raffle & Roll-a-Dice table.

Meanwhile our Charter night will also be at "The Legion", as it was once known, on Friday 28th May & you may fancy a night out then too, when you can enjoy a good 3 course meal with waiter service, listen to a few short but interesting or even entertaining speeches followed by dancing.
